Jon Jones insists he is ready and willing to fight for the UFC if called upon.
The former two-weight champion announced his retirement from MMA in June, killing what Dana White believed was an agreed-upon undisputed fight with heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
Just days later, Jon Jones made a retirement U-turn when the UFC announced they are planning to put on a show at the White House in 2026.
Since then, White has completely shut down the idea of ‘Bones’ competing on the UFC White House card.
The UFC boss has offered odds of ‘a billion-to-one’ on Jones making his comeback at Donald Trump’s official residence.

Jon Jones issues career update
Jon Jones tried to clear up the confusion about his retirement status at the MTV VMAs.
“I am not retired,” he told Denise White on the red carpet.
“I’m actively training 5 days a week, and I’m in the UFC’s drug testing pool.
He added when asked if he’ll fight at the White House: “I don’t really know.
“It’s kind of out of my control fight now. I’m training for the event. I’ll be ready for the event.
“That’s my goal. That’s my intention, but ultimately it’s up to the boss.”
Conor McGregor eyes UFC White House comeback
Conor McGregor called his shot at UFC White House card after new details about the event recently emerged.
On Friday, it was revealed that the show, which was initially targeted for July 4, 2026, is now slated to take place a month earlier in June.
Fighters will get to warm up inside the White House itself after ceremonial weigh-ins take place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. There will also be fireworks, light shows, and more festivities during the once-in-a-lifetime UFC card.
“MCGREGOR’S RETURN!” the first UFC dual-weight champion tweeted in response to the news.
Right now, it seems Conor McGregor, even though he’s not American, is the frontrunner to headline the UFC White House card. Only time will tell if Jon Jones will be able to convince Dana White to let him make an appearance.
