Winner of Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford already lined up to face undefeated ‘boogeyman’ KO artist

A potential next opponent has already emerged for the winner of this weekend’s super fight.

After Canelo Alvarez changed his mind on fighting Terence Crawford, fans will finally get to see a dream matchup take place later this week.

On September 13, the Mexican star will put his undisputed super middleweight titles on the line at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

While Crawford has recently been called out by UFC star Ilia Topuria, there is another man that is waiting in the wings to challenge whoever comes out on top in the biggest fight of the year.

Osleys Iglesias recently secured his spot as the mandatory challenger for the IBF super middleweight title

On Saturday night, either Canelo Alvarez will continue his dominant reign in the super middleweight division or a new undisputed champion will be crowned.

Alvarez may have already been splashing the cash ahead of fight week in Las Vegas, but a lot of people believe that Terence Crawford poses a big threat to the Mexican star’s reign.

Crawford looks to have adapted well to his new weight class if his physique is anything to go by ahead of the biggest fight of his career.

Waiting in the wings to try and take the undisputed crown away from the victor will be Cuba’s Osleys Iglesias following his recent win.

The undefeated 27-year-old continued his impressive run of knockouts by stopping Vladimir Shishkin last week to improve to 14-0 as a pro, with his manager referring to him as the “boogeyman” of the division.

Osleys successfully defended his IBO super middleweight belt in a matchup that was billed as a title eliminator for the IBF belt that Alvarez will be putting on the line this Saturday.

There is a very real chance that Osleys Iglesias will end up fighting neither Canelo Alvarez nor Terence Crawford for the belt

While Osleys Iglesias recently won a title eliminator that could set him on a collision course with either Canelo Alvarez or Terence Crawford, there’s still a decent chance that he won’t get this huge payday.

The IBF has a track record for sticking to their guns when it comes to mandatory challengers, which could result in the winner of Saturday night’s undisputed title fight choosing to give the belt up rather than facing Iglesias.

Alvarez did this just last year with the same exact belt when he chose to face Edgar Berlanga instead of his mandatory challenger, William Scull.

The Mexican star then went on to win the belt back off of Scull earlier this year where he faced off with Crawford inside the ring immediately after.
