Noche UFC 3 preview, start time, full fight card, how to watch, live stream as Diego Lopes battles Jean Silva

For the third year in a row, the UFC commemorates Mexican independence with its Noche event in San Antonio, Texas, on September 13.

After last year’s show saw Alexa Grasso draw with Valentina Shevchenko and Jack Della Maddalena’s victory over Kevin Holland, this year’s competitors will have a lot to live up to.

The headline bout of the evening is a Featherweight clash, which could majorly affect the next challengers for the UFC Featherweight belt.

#2-ranked contender Diego Lopes takes on the #10-ranked Jean Silva in a bout that Alexander Volkanovsky will likely be paying special attention to on the night.

Taking place the same night as Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford, here is everything you need to know about Noche UFC 3.

Noche UFC 3 was originally meant to be UFC 320 before being downgraded

UFC 320 was originally supposed to be the site of the Noche UFC event, but things had to change due to the Canelo/Crawford fight.

The highly anticipated boxing match was moved to September 13 back in May, making it clash with UFC 320.

With both events being promoted by Dana White, putting on two of TKO’s premier events on the same night was too much for the promotion.

The decision was made to move UFC 320 back to October 4, while downgrading Noche UFC 3 on September 13 to a regular fight night event instead.

It is still the Noche 3 UFC event to celebrate Mexican independence, although the event no longer being a numbered UFC show has soured it slightly.
