Avid mixed martial arts fan Elon Musk has just been offered his own route into the world of combat sports it seems.
Musk, the current leader of Tesla as well as SpaceX and a whole host of other entrepreneurial businesses, has often been spotted at UFC events in the last couple of years — sitting Octagon side, in fact.
And whilst a close friend of UFC CEO, Dana White, the Pretoria native has come under fire from one of the promotion’s most standout stars in the past in the form of Bryce Mitchell.
However, a former champion inside the Octagon has offered Musk the stunning chance to enter the mixed martial arts sphere, entirely separate from White and the UFC.

‘Rampage Jackson’ urges Elon Musk to ‘make MMA what it should’ve been’
And the man to offer Musk this opportunity to step into the mixed martial arts world is former undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion and Pride FC icon ‘Rampage’ Jackson.
Seemingly linking up with the UFL (United Fight League), former Octagon champion Jackson urged Musk to “make MMA what it should’ve been from the beginning”, whilst tagging the promotion’s current CEO, Harrison Rogers.
“Yo @elonmusk let’s make the Sport of MMA what it should have been from the beginning. What do you say? @harrisonjrogers #MMA” Jackson posted on his X account.
And while Musk has yet to publicly respond to Jackson’s offer, the South African-born businessman has been linked heavily with a potential foothold in mixed martial arts in the past.
Elon Musk’s failed UFC fight with Mark Zuckerberg
In a planned clash of the CEOs, Musk was reportedly targeted to face off with current Meta leader, Mark Zuckerberg, in a special event under the UFC banner, as revealed by promotional boss, White.
In a pairing which would pit Musk against his fellow avid fan, Zuckerberg, who is a proficient Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner boasting a blue belt.
Revealing plans to host the event at the historic Colosseum in Rome, Italy, long-time Octagon leader White revealed earlier this year how the bout eventually fell to the wayside.
“[Musk vs. Zuckerberg] was real,” White told Tucker Carlson. “I was in the middle of it, and I had a blast doing the negotiations with that thing. Talking with Elon for an hour every night, and talking to Mark for an hour every night. . . . [Negotiations were] about the fight, where it would be, [weight classes].”
