One of the commentators for the Octagon’s return to the French capital made a bold claim during the main card.
There haven’t been many opportunities for fans to catch their breath during UFC Paris by the time that the main card got underway.
Multiple devastating finishes, including the arrival of a new heavyweight contender, had already taken place inside the Octagon.
The night hadn’t been a successful one for debuting fighters who were looking to announce themselves on the roster.
An exciting French talent looked to change that shortly after one late-notice addition exited the cage in a wheelchair following his debut loss.

Michael Bisping slammed for comparing Axel Sola to a young Conor McGregor
On the main card, French lightweight talent Axel Sola made his UFC debut by moving up to welterweight for a short-notice opportunity.
The former Ares FC champion traded strikes with Rhys McKee, where both men landed some good shots throughout the first two rounds.
An early eye-catching strike from the Frenchman led to Michael Bisping comparing the new arrival to a young Conor McGregor due to his sharp striking skills.
Despite Sola going on to get the win by stopping McKee with a body shot in the third round, fans were still puzzled by ‘The Notorious’ being brought into the discussion early on in the bout, criticizing Bisping in the process.
‘Company Shill. He will say anything if he gets paid.’
‘Bisping needs to be banned from commentating. He just said Sola reminds him of a younger McGregor.’
‘Got a Conor McGregor comp on Sola from Bisping. What.’
‘LOL Why Bisping just say Sola look like McGregor?’
‘In the first round Bisping said Sola is reminiscent of Conor Mcgregor. Gotta be one of the worst comparisons ever lmfaoo. Fun scrap though.’
‘Did Bisping just say Axel Sola looks like a young Conor McGregor?’

Fans also questioned the stoppage of Axel Sola’s debut win
While it was clear that Axel Sola hurt Rhys McKee with a body shot, a lot of fans felt like the stoppage came too quickly at UFC Paris.
Many argued that the French fighter was already ahead on the scorecards and likely minutes away from getting his hand raised, but that didn’t stop there from being some complaints.
‘Horrible stoppage but Sola’s a demon.’
‘Hate that stoppage, but Sola was the better man tonight.’
‘The fight was heading towards a Sola win, but the stoppage was weak. Hopefully, it does not foreshadow controversy later on.’
