World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall called out for fight by ex-WWE champion with Bellator credentials

Eddie Hall has been called out for a meeting under the Misfits banner by former WWE tag team champion Gzim Selmani.

‘The Albanian Psycho’ was angered by Hall’s callout of Dillon Danis on Saturday night after his 15-second win over Warren Spencer on Saturday night.

The former WWE star, who went by the ring name Rezar as one half of the Authors of Pain, believes the 2017 World’s Strongest Man should pick on someone his own size. And he wants to go back to fighting, ideally in the Misfits Boxing ring against the strongman.

Eddie Hall called out by former WWE tag team champion

Former WWE star Gzim Selmani is pushing Eddie Hall for a fight after watching the Brit call out Dillon Danis. As a former MMA fighter with a lot of experience, he would be a seemingly fairer opponent, given his billed WWE weight of 330lb and the fact he is a legitimate heavyweight.

“I’m returning to my roots as a fighter and I have unfinished business in the world of combat sports,” said Selmani today. “I’ve been watching Eddie Hall trying to pick a fight with a welterweight and that doesn’t sit right with me.

“He thinks he is the big man coming in to fight sports, well why doesn’t he take on someone who can actually knock him out… Someone like me.

“This is a message for Eddie Hall, I challenge you to fist fight on any Misfits Boxing card. I need to remind & teach everyone that I am the world’s most dangerous professional wrestler.”

Gzim Selmani was MMA fighter before making his WWE debut

Prior to making it in the WWE as a tag team champion on Monday Night Raw and NXT, Selmani was a renowned MMA fighter on the UK and European scene. His most noteworthy win is an 18-second submission of former UFC fighter and Britain’s Strongest Man winner Oli Thompson.

That fight headlined a BAMMA event in the UK, and he also fought under the Bellator banner in his US debut before moving on to professional wrestling.

Now, he is returning to combat sports under the tutelage of boxing manager Shane Watson. The British boxing expert has been involved in the careers of the undefeated Abdul Khan as well as top heavyweight contender Joe Joyce among other UK stars.
