There’s a reason UFC CEO Dana White doesn’t like to do outdoor events.
On Saturday, BKFC debuted in Montenegro with a Fight Night event in Budva.
The 11-fight card was initially scheduled to air at 2 pm EST, however, the live broadcast never began.
A minute after its set start time, BKFC announced that it would be airing the fights later due to weather-related issues. The event was held at Top Hill, an outdoor venue in Budva.
Conor McGregor was among those in attendance, describing the storm as ‘the maddest thing ever’ as he got out of there.
10 hours after their initial update, BKFC announced more unfortunate news.

BKFC lose both main events after massive tape delay
On Saturday night, BKFC announced that the main and co-main events of BKFC Fight Night: Budva were cancelled due to ‘extreme weather’.
The cancelled main event was a middleweight bout between Vaso Bakočević and Wilhelm Ott. Petar Ražov vs. Bojan Kosednar was supposed to be the co-headliner.
Saturday’s card is now available to watch with a BKFC+ subscription.
“Thank you for your patience & understanding!” BKFC posted late Saturday night.
“BKFC BUDVA replay is available now on BKFC+.
“Unfortunately the event ended early due to severe weather prohibiting the Co & Main event from happening…”
Dana White ‘hates’ that weather is a factor for UFC’s White House event
It’s been too long since the UFC held an outdoor event.
15 years have passed since UFC 112, when Dana White took a chance on Abu Dhabi.
White hasn’t been a fan of doing outdoor events since, but the UFC boss has been tasked by President Donald Trump on putting a UFC fight on the White House lawn next summer on the fourth of July for the United States’ 250th birthday.
“This is a different challenge in that I want to do it on the South Lawn and they have some weight issues,” White told The Independent.
“The Octagon is 25,000 pounds, so it’s going to be incredibly challenging…
“Then the weather, which I hate,” White added.
“And said I would never do again after Abu Dhabi…
“I don’t give a s— if it snows, we’re going to be out on that South Lawn,” White said ahead of the UFC’s White House event next summer.
