Over his career, Gervonta Davis has completed several feats, but not many will make him prouder than his feat in 2019.
Last week, it was shockingly announced that Gervonta Davis will take on Jake Paul next in a huge super fight at the State Farm Arena, streamed live on Netflix.
The fight came as a shock, not only because it’s a huge step up in opponent for ‘The Problem Child’ but also because of the fact that he was in talks to take on Anthony Joshua.
And even though Paul has hinted that the fight could still eventually happen in 2026, he will first have to get past the tricky puzzle that is ‘Tank’, who is yet to suffer defeat in the boxing ring.

Gervonta Davis became just the second fighter to complete hometown feat
Throughout his career, Davis has accomplished several incredible feats, winning titles in several different weight classes.
After winning the WBA super featherweight title in 2018, ‘Tank’ booked his second title defense to take place in his hometown, Maryland.
Just a few fights prior to that, Davis was stripped of his IBF super featherweight title for missing weight and refusing to re-weigh, going on to score a controversial knockout in the fight.
And with that in mind, in his return to Maryland, Davis wanted to put on a spectacle in front of his hometown fans.
The crowd went utterly raucous during Davis’ walkout as he walked out with rappers Casanova and Lil Baby, which immediately got the fans behind him.
In the opening round, ‘Tank’ took some time to feel out his 24-year-old opponent, as the challenger attempted to dictate the pace of the round.
After eating a few of Nunez’s shots early in round two, Davis landed a huge left hook that immediately wobbled Nunez.
Sensing blood, the champion poured on the pressure and landed several more huge left hands, subsequently putting the challenger out on his feet.
Davis’ win marked the first time a native of Baltimore had returned to the city to defend a world title since featherweight champion Harry Jeffra defeated Spider Armstrong in 1940.
Jake Paul adds major clause to Davis fight
Ahead of his huge clash against ‘The Problem Child’, fans believe the size difference between the two could prove massive in the fight.
And with that in mind, Paul recently announced that he has added a huge clause into the contract that the two will partake in the ‘strictest drug testing possible’.
USADA will be able to test Paul whenever they want during his camp, with there being no limits to their testing. USADA used to oversee the drug testing in the UFC, but a breakdown in their relationship following a saga with Conor McGregor led to their deal not being renewed.
