Michael Bisping stunned as fighter throws 35 elbows in final 60 seconds of ‘crazy’ UFC Shanghai fight

Michael Bisping has been there, done that, and seen it all during his legendary MMA career.

At this point, the sport rarely throws up something brand new to the former UFC middleweight champion.

But that’s exactly what happened when he was commentating at UFC Shanghai on Saturday morning.

Michael Bisping, Laura Sanko, Brendan Fitzgerald, and the crowd were all stunned by the final 60 seconds of the second fight on the card.

Fighter throws 35 elbows in final 60 seconds

Xiao Long was down on the scorecards heading into the third round of his UFC Shanghai fight.

The hometown fan favourite did everything he could to take out You Su-young in the final five minutes.

With 60 seconds left on the clock, Xiao Long decided he was just going to throw elbows at his opponent.

Michael Bisping and his co-commentators went wild as he unloaded ’35 elbows in the final minute’.

“All elbows,” the UFC Hall of Famer said.

“One after the other. This is crazy!

“I’ve never seen anybody throw this many elbows.”

Unfortunately, the late flurry wasn’t enough to get Xiao Long a win via the judges.

You Su-young was awarded the victory courtesy of unanimous 29-28 scorecards from the cageside officials.

Michel Pereira KO’d in 47 seconds

Two fights later, Michael Bisping was stunned again after watching Michel Pereira lose in 43 seconds.

‘The Count’ was talking about Kyle Daukaus and his lack of punching power moments before he scored an early knockdown.

Pereira was pelted with nasty elbows after he collapsed to the mat from a sharp right-hand counter.

‘Daukaus bounced the Brazilian’s head off the Octagon floor until he went out cold, at which point the referee stepped in to wave off the fight.
