Fabian Edwards replicates brother Leon Edwards’ stunning UFC title KO to claim $500,000 PFL prize three years on

Fabian Edwards brutally knocked out Dalton Rosta to settle their bitter feud and earn the $500,000 PFL World Tournament Championship.

The duo shared a bitter build-up to their middleweight title showdown, almost coming to blows in a heated final face-off. Edwards even trolled his rival with insistence that he was gifted a semi-final win due to his relationship with top star Dakota Ditcheva.

And with Ditcheva watching from cageside, the pair went to war at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.

Fabian Edwards vs Dalton Rosta PFL World Tournament result

With the memories of his brother Leon Edwards‘ world title win three years earlier ringing throughout fight week, Fabian Edwards entered the cage looking for another historic family knockout. The bout stayed standing early, but had to be temporarily stopped due to a low blow.

When they returned to action, Rosta piled on the pressure to land a takedown and arguably outstrike the Brit in the early exchanges. The second was much of the same, but it all came to life in round three as Edwards showed off his striking.

And halfway through the third, he landed a stunning head kick identical to his brother’s to win the PFL World Tournament and pocket $500,000. Edwards now moves on to a rematch with Costello Van Steenis to unify the division.

Three PFL World Tournament champions crowned on big night in Hollywood

It was a big night of action at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida with three World Tournament finals headlining. First up was the light-heavyweight division, as Antonio Carlos Jr claimed gold with a rear naked choke against Sullivan Cauley.

The pair shared a bloody and aggressive two rounds before Carlos Jr managed to lock in the choke and pick up his second PFL title. It was then on to the heavyweights, as Fedor Emelianenko’s protege Oleg Popov took on former UFC star Alexander Romanov.

After five rounds that were likely as tough to compete in as they were to watch, Popov managed to eke out a decision to finally claim PFL gold.
