Fans hyped for Alex Pereira’s return after insane UFC 320 promo video drops… ‘Dana cooked’

After a blockbuster UFC 319 event, focus is turning to the stacked next pay-per-view.

The UFC’s August PPV is in the books, after a night in Chicago that saw Khamzat Chimaev crowned the new middleweight champion and Dricus du Plessis handed his first loss inside the Octagon.

There were plenty of other results for fans to digest, including Lerone Murphy’s brutal knockout of debutant Aaron Pico, which marked the second consecutive spinning back elbow KO after Carlos Prates had used the same move to starch Geoff Neal.

While the fallout to UFC 319 is ongoing, it won’t take long before fans start to look at the promotion’s next PPV offering. And following a September that will be absent of one, the UFC will return to numbered cards with a bang in October.

UFC drops cold video previewing championship double-header at UFC 320

Before the annual Abu Dhabi event sees Tom Aspinall defend his heavyweight title at UFC 321 against Ciryl Gane, Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena will play host to UFC 320 on October 4.

A championship double-header will top a stacked lineup in ‘Sin City’, with Magomed Ankalaev’s rematch against Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight title headlining and Merab Dvalishvili facing a challenge for his bantamweight gold from Cory Sandhagen in the co-main event.

Ahead of that highly anticipated card, the promotion dropped a teaser during the UFC 319 broadcast, hyping up fans with a goosebumps-inducing promo video that showcases the skills of the four headliners and the stakes of their two matchups.

The video put plenty of focus on Pereira’s pursuit of revenge against Ankalaev. The former two-division champion had his light heavyweight reign ended on the scorecards at UFC 313 this past March and is now looking to make an immediate return to the throne.

Fans share predictions for Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira 2 after new UFC 320 promo video

The MMA community quickly reacted to the video, with some praising the UFC for another successful promo and others making their early predictions for Pereira’s shot at revenge against Ankalaev.

“Let’s gooo, UFC never misses with the promos — goosebumps already!”

“Ankalaev might actually stop Pereira this time. He’s been on vacation too long.”

“Promo hype hits hard tonight.”

“Dana (White) cooked with this card.”

“Alex by whatever he wants.”

“I’m so pumped.”

“Chama is back.”

But not everyone was impressed with the UFC’s latest PPV promo video.

“This promo you would think Chama is the champion and Ankalaev is the challenger.

“You know who the promotion is rooting for.”

“They literally recycled the cold open from the first fight and changed the narration.”

“Not worth the PPV.”
