UFC CEO Dana White has ended talk of Jon Jones fighting at the White House.
The UFC will celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday with a show at President Donald Trump’s official residence on July 4, 2026.
Jon Jones has been publicly campaigning to headline the once-in-a-lifetime UFC card.
The greatest MMA fighter of all time ended his brief retirement to compete at the White House, but that doesn’t appear to be an option his boss is considering right now.

Dana White’s White House update
Dana White answered questions from assembled media following UFC 319 on Saturday night.
The MMA mogul recently claimed a lack of trust is preventing him from allowing Jones to headline at the White House.
According to White, there’s nothing Jones can do to earn his trust and a spot on the unique fight card.
“What do you think Jon would do in the next couple of months that would make me trust putting him on the White House card?” he said when a reporter asked what Jones needs to do to fight at the White House.
“I already said I don’t trust him, and you’re asking me, ‘What could he do for me to trust him in the next three months. You don’t trust him!
“I haven’t talked to him at all. I would not bet on it. If I have to make odds, it’s a billion to one I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”
Why doesn’t Dana White trust Jon Jones?
Dana White has spent most of 2025 trying to make a fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
The 56-year-old thought he’d struck a deal with ‘Bones’, who allegedly backed out at the last minute.
Understandably, the whole ordeal has left White hesitant to trust the former two-weight UFC champion.
In July, Jones admitted he was ‘disappointed’ when his boss first ruled him out for the White House card.
It’s unclear if he’ll still want to make a comeback after White revealed the odds on him changing his mind.
