Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate survives major scare to win debut on four days notice at UFC 319

Baysangur Susurkaev proved he is more than Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate on Saturday night.

The 10-0 Russian prospect wrapped up the preliminary portion of UFC 319 with a sensational debut win.

Daniel Cormier slammed the judges before the fans called out a referee for a quick stoppage during the eventful undercard.

However, it was Baysangur Susurkaev who stole the show by taking out Eric Nolan in the second round of their short-notice UFC 319 fight.

Susurkaev appeared too relaxed as he played with his food during the first round of his UFC career.

Nolan made him pay with a heavy punch that rocked Susurkaev badly at the end of round one.

The 24-year-old wobbled back to his corner after seemingly being saved by the bell.

Chimaev’s pal recovered in between rounds before hurting his opponent with leg kicks in the second stanza.

Ultimately, Susurkaev got the fight to the floor and locked up a rear-naked choke to get the win.

Baysangur Susurkaev makes history at UFC 319

Baysangur Susurkaev burst onto the scene with body shot KO win over Murtaza Talha earlier this week.

The Contender Series standout earned praise and a multi-fight contract from UFC CEO Dana White.

Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate’s wish to fight at UFC 319 on four days notice was granted by the MMA mogul.

Susurkaev’s super-quick turnaround allowed him to make a small slice of history against Nolan.

Chimaev set the modern record for shortest time between UFC fights after picking up two wins in 10 days five years ago.

Now the UFC 319 star Chimaev says is ‘better’ than him has set a seemingly unbreakable new record.
