King Green hates pulling out of fights.
The UFC lightweight veteran hasn’t had to withdraw from many bouts in his decade-long career but Green wasn’t given much of a choice ahead of UFC 319.
Days away from his return in Chicago, it was announced Green’s upcoming fight with Carlos Diego Ferreira had been cancelled due to an injury sustained by Green.
This was one of two fight cancellations that took place for UFC 319 on Thursday, as a welterweight bout on the undercard also fell through.
Green spoke out on his withdrawal in a new video.

King Green says he can’t walk after UFC 319 withdrawal
Green has only withdrawn from fights with Jim Miller in the last six years.
Green wanted to clear the air on the injury that took him out of fighting at UFC 319, revealing he’s currently on crutches.
“I worked so hard to get here. I went through a lot of b——- to get here,” Green said.
“Back in the day, I’ve had pull-outs, but somewhere along the line I said, I’m not ever pulling out of a fight. If I gotta f—— limp my a– there, I’ll limp into the cage, but I’m never pulling out.
“This one is a little bit different. I can’t even f—– walk, guys,” Green said.
“If I had a broken hand, I wouldn’t say nothing. I would fight. And so I’m sorry to anybody I let down. I let myself down even more than that, you know? It just sucks to take this stuff, bro.
“I got things to do. I got people that look up to me and need me. Got the f—— crutches right here to f—— b——- you not, bro. It is what it is, man.
“I’m really sorry and thank you for everyone that really rides with me. This s— is really appreciated and I’m really sorry.”
UFC 319 continues with 13 fights
UFC 319 this weekend is headlined by Dana White’s ‘fight of the year’ between middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis vs. Khamzat Chimaev.
Set to go down from Chicago, Illinois, the event is co-headlined by a featherweight bout between top contender Lerone Murphy and the debuting Aaron Pico.
The final addition to the 13-fight card was Chimaev’s teammate Baysangur Susurkaev taking on Eric Nolan in a short-notice booking.
Susurkaev just fought and won on Tuesday night’s Contender Series and returns in days at UFC 319 for his promotional debut.
