UFC commentator Daniel Cormier hilariously denies 23-year-old contender’s post-fight request

Daniel Cormier had to keep things moving at UFC Vegas 109.

UFC Fight Night: Hernandez vs. Dolidze takes place from the UFC Apex on Saturday night with a violent 12-fight card.

Aside from a few decisions, it was finish after finish on the prelims as we saw one of the most devastating slam knockouts in UFC history, courtesy of 22-year-old bantamweight prospect Elijah Smith.

Just a year older, Iasmin Lucindo, the youngest female fighter on the roster also got her hand raised on the main card when she defeated 40-year-old UFC veteran Angela Hill by unanimous decision.

Had Lucindo picked up the finish, Cormier probably wouldn’t have been so quick to leave the Octagon after her post-fight interview.

Iasmin Lucindo tries to grab microphone from Daniel Cormier, gets denied

Lucindo spoke to Cormier in Portuguese, with the help of a translator.

Lucindo used her time to speak about her dream of becoming a UFC champion and lobbied for teammate Virna Jandiroba, who was next to her in the cage, to get the next title fight against champion Zhang Weili.

Lucindo’s post-fight interview lasted one minute and 12 seconds.

Cormier wasn’t going to let it go a second longer as he concluded the interview. However, Lucindo apparently had more to say, trying to grab the microphone from Cormier for more air time.

Cormier quickly turned in the other direction and exited the Octagon, leaving Lucindo to talk in Portuguese to the camera.

“Let’s get 2-on-1 to wrestle the mic from DC,” play-by-play commentator John Gooden said of the hilarious moment.

Iasmin Lucindo said Angela Hill is almost as old as her mom

Hill suffered her 15th UFC loss tonight to Lucindo.

‘The Ultimate Fighter’ alum is the oldest fighter on the UFC Vegas 109 card at 40 and competed against the second-youngest fighter on the card in the 23-year-old Lucindo.

Lucindo said Hill is near her mother’s age.

“I won’t lie to you, it’s very crazy,” Lucindo told MMA Fighting about the age discrepancy between her and Hill.

“It’s something that makes me go like, ‘My God, she’s almost my mother’s age.’

“My mother is 43,” Lucindo revealed.
