Glen Norman Jr. has issued a social media statement after going viral for all the wrong reasons.
The online fitness coach and amateur MMA fighter squared off against Byron Walker at American Kombat Alliance 48 on Saturday night.
At the end of round two, Norman pointed to the ground like Max Holloway does during his UFC fights.
However, he didn’t have the same success ‘Blessed’ did when he knocked out Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024.

Glen Norman Jr. reacts to viral KO loss
When Norman let his guard down, Walker landed a punch that instantly knocked him out cold.
Footage of Norman taunting his rival before being viciously finished has since gone viral.
On Sunday, the 2-2 fighter admitted he made a ‘mistake’ in a lengthy statement about his loss.
“Anyone that has ever strapped on gloves and stepped inside an Octagon knows how unpredictable fighting is,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I’m definitely not happy with the result but it proves how easy a mistake can be made. I was in control the entire fight and took one punch off and left my chin up which opened the door for a KO.
“After rewatching the fight, I’m proud of my growth as a fighter and I’ll hold my head up continuously because I know had I not made that mistake to drop my guard, the result would have been different.
“Shout out to my opponent Byron Walker on the win. Lesson learned…Walked away with no injuries or bruises and feeling like nothing happened. I’m prepping for war again soon.”
Max Holloway’s next fight
It could be a while before we see anyone do Max Holloway’s signature taunt again.
Other fighters will think twice about mimicking the BMF champion after seeing what happened to Norman.
Holloway outpointed Dustin Poirier in their five-round trilogy fight at UFC 318 last month.
An injury suffered during that fight means Holloway thinks he is unlikely to return before the end of 2025.
“My right hand still hurts,” he said in a video on his YouTube channel.
“If you have hopes of me fighting before the end of the year, it’s probably not gonna happen. I’m seeing a specialist sometime this week, and I already met with my doctor, and now I’ve got to meet a specialist, but things are not looking up for me, fighting one more time this year.
“What’s next? I couldn’t tell you. This stupid injury has pushed things back.”
