Conor McGregor has vowed to complete the ‘greatest year in modern history’ with a Presidential win of his own before fighting at the White House.
The former two-weight UFC champion is currently in the depths of attempting to get a Presidential nomination in his native Ireland. He also recently entered the drug testing pool for the first time since the UFC split with USADA, giving a number of samples ahead of a planned comeback.
McGregor hasn’t fought since the summer of 2021 when he suffered a gruesome broken leg at the hands of Dustin Poirier. Now, he wants to return against Michael Chandler, finally putting an end to their years-long feud.

Conor McGregor vows to finish ‘greatest year’ with White House fight as President
Conor McGregor took to X earlier today to let fans know his plans for what he believes will be the ‘greatest year in modern history’. It will start with him winning the Irish Presidential election – after first landing an against the odds nomination – and culminate in his comeback on the White House lawn.
“I pray I am in as Ireland’s President by the time of the fight in the White House,” he wrote in a now-deleted message. “How iconic it will be. A leader that puts his money where his mouth is. I would be in term well over half a year by the time of this White House card.

“By that time we would have Ireland in to a new government, serving the Irish public as its number 1 priority. A complete end to the human trafficking scam and its bypassing of our planning laws. We would have Ireland OPTED OUT of the EU migration pact.
“Border parameters upgraded and fully secured all across the country. The stop and hunt will be well underway for those who entered our country illegally. For those who pose a threat to our people. And for those who leech off the state with no intent to support themselves.
“Imported criminals will be gone. Imported dangers will be gone. Imported free loaders will be gone. Our tourist industry will be back on its feet and booming! The theft of our public fund towards any organisation that does not serve the interests of the public will be long recovered.
“The Presidential term is 7 years. I’d have Ireland right inside 3. Possibly 2. And the first year of my term, culminating in a fight at The White House would be the greatest year in modern history! Ireland, I AM YOUR MAN! Vótáigh Conchúir Mac Gréagóir.”
Conor McGregor’s comeback is official with drug testing confirmation
For the first time in almost a year since his fight with Chandler at UFC 303 was cancelled, Conor McGregor has appeared on the list of tested athletes in the UFC’s drug testing pool.
It used to be in the USADA days that a fighter had to be back in the pool for six months. However, now that the promotion have their own ‘gold standard’ testing that is run by Drug Free Sport International, where it is unclear if that six month minimum is still enforced.
Either way, the Irishman shared photos of himself being tested on a recent Instagram story. He shared blood and urine samples, which have now appeared on the official website for the UFC’s drug testing protocol.
