Ben Askren later returned home to his family, but he has since been readmitted to hospital due to an infection.

Kamaru Usman squashes Ben Askren beef
On Saturday, Askren shared a story about one of his friends visiting him in hospital.
The 41-year-old revealed he shut down his pal when he tried to use a nickname for Kamaru Usman, which the former UFC welterweight champion isn’t a fan of.
“Had an old friend come visit me at the hospital and he brought up Marty from Nebraska and I said you can’t call him Marty anymore bc he will get p—ed,” Askren tweeted. “My buddy was flabbergasted!”
Usman quickly got wind of Askren’s comment and responded with a classy message to his old rival.
“@Benaskren happy you’re doing well my man. One day at a time you’ll be back,” he replied.
Askren responded with three praying emojis to officially end a beef that first started ahead of UFC 235.

Ben Askren scored a controversial submission win over Robbie Lawler in March 2019.
On the same card, Kamaru Usman outpointed Tyron Woodley to become the 170lb champion.

Usman’s angry reaction backfired as many people began to call him ‘Marty from Nebraska’ to get a reaction.
