When Elves Brener and Guram Kutateladze clashed in the Octagon in 2023, they put on one of the wildest fights in recent memory.
This coming Saturday at UFC Vegas 108, Chute Boxe prospect Elves Brener returns to action when he takes on fellow lightweight brawler Esteban Ribovics.
The Brazilian 27-year-old is looking to bounce back from disappointing back-to-back losses against Myktybek Orolbai and Joel Alvarez, taking a step back down in quality of opponent.
Brener will be hoping to return to the form that saw him come from behind to score a crazy win against Ilia Topuria‘s teammate in just his second outing in the promotion.

Brener overcame a horror injury to finish Guram Kutateladze
After beating Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov in his debut outing, Brener was matched up against Guram Kutateladze, which at the time was a shock considering some of the wins Guram had already picked up.
The two began throwing down early in the fight but ‘The Georgian Viking’ was taken down by Brener just seconds into the fight as he looked to apply top pressure.
Despite that, he couldn’t keep the Georgian on the ground for long as Kutateladze made it back up to his feet and looked to continue landing his striking combinations.
And then with just over 10 seconds left of the first round, Guram scored a huge knockdown after landing a brutal elbow followed by a right hand, but the Brazilian recovered in time and then was saved by the bell.
Again in round two, Guram landed some huge shots which led to Brener attempting to take the fight to the ground. However, after Guram reversed the position whilst on the ground, he landed a huge elbow which opened up a massive cut on Brener’s forehead as he leaked blood all over the Octagon.
After a back and forth round two where the Brazilian showcased his heart, he came out in round three knowing that he likely needed a finish to get the win.
And with just over a minute and a half of the final round, what seemed like the impossible happened when Brener landed a huge left hand which dropped the Georgian, subsequently finishing the fight with huge ground-and-pound.
Brener sent Charles Oliveira wild in the corner
In his corner for the fight was former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who was sent into raptures following the 27-year-old’s come from behind win.
This marked Oliveira’s and Topuria’s first clash, which ended badly for ‘Do Bronx’ who was viciously knocked out by Topuria in the UFC 317 main event.
