Jorge Masvidal has revealed that he was offered a return to MMA by controversial boxer Jake Paul.
Jorge Masvidal has long been linked to a potential fight against Jake Paul for what seems to be years, especially during the time that ‘The Problem Child’ was picking former UFC stars to fight in the boxing ring.
Despite that, ‘Gamebred’ missed out on his opportunity to fight the internet sensation turned boxer when he lost his boxing fight against Nate Diaz last July.
Since then, the former UFC BMF champion has teased his potential return to MMA and more specifically the UFC, plotting a two-fight comeback, ending with an undisputed title fight.
Masvidal was offered MMA return by Jake Paul
Paul recently returned to the boxing ring when he took on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, going on to beat the former world champion by unanimous decision.
Following his fight, the 28-year-old called out several current champions, and even had a face off with Oleksandr Usyk, asking the Ukrainian to fight him in MMA.
However, that is an extremely unlikely fight to happen considering both fighters lack of experience in the MMA cage.
Having said that, ‘The Problem Child’ is still signed to the PFL and continues to hint that he will make his MMA debut under the PFL banner this year, and Masvidal has revealed he sent him an offer for an MMA fight.
“Jake Paul had at one point offered to fight me in the PFL, which was some straight bulls—, right?” Masvidal told CasinoHawks.
“Because it was MMA, he was never gonna do that. But the numbers were also a pay cut. Why am I gonna take pay cuts? It’s not gonna happen. I work very hard. And my reputation speaks for itself.
“It was just Jake getting headlines and stuff like that, because he’ll never fight anybody in MMA, especially a real fighter. So it was just headlines that he was grabbing,” Masvidal continued.

Although Masvidal doubts Paul’s intent to fight in MMA, ‘The Problem Child’ did once table a huge offer to fight Nate Diaz under the PFL banner.
Despite that, Diaz seemingly turned the offer down as he didn’t want to close the door on a potential UFC return.
