Joe Rogan was devastated when he missed Shara Magomedov’s most famous knockout: ‘I talk too much’

Shara Magomedov’s double spinning backfist knockout broke the internet in October 2024.

Legendary commentator Joe Rogan couldn’t be at UFC 308 in person, so he decided to host a watchalong podcast with Eddie Bravo, Brendan Schaub, and Bryan Callen.

Rogan and his ‘Fight Companion’ friends are known for talking too much and ignoring the events they are meant to be watching.

So, it wasn’t a surprise when they missed Shara Magomedov’s sensational KO win over Armen Petrosyan.

Rogan used to compete in kickboxing and taekwondo during his younger years.

During UFC 308, the 57-year-old was discussing his own fight career, instead of watching the second round of Magomedov’s fight with Arman Petrosyan.

The MMA fanatic wasn’t even looking at his TV screen when ‘Bullet’ landed a double spinning backfist knockout to make one of his guests go wild.

“Oh, f—,” BJJ wizard Eddie Bravo screamed to startle everyone else in the room.

Rogan asked: “What happened?”

Bravo replied: “Dude, he threw a spinning f—ing backfist and then reversed it and threw another one spinning backfist. He threw two of them!”

Rogan’s face dropped when he realized he had just missed a Knockout of the Year contender.

“Ah, man! I missed the whole thing,” he said.

“God damn, I talk too much.”

What’s next for Shara Magomedov?

Magomedov hasn’t fought since suffering his first career defeat against Michael ‘Venom’ Page in February.

The 15-1 fan favorite will look to get back to winning ways at UFC Abu Dhabi on Saturday night.

He’ll square off against Marc-André Barriault at the Etihad Arena in the United Arab Emirates.

Hopefully, Rogan will have his eyes firmly fixed on the TV screen to avoid missing another epic Magomedov moment this weekend.
