Sean O’Malley suggests crazy super fights for Max Holloway next including clash against one of the UFC’s biggest stars

Max Holloway has plenty of options to consider for his next fight, but Sean O’Malley has pitched two blockbusters.

On Saturday, the UFC returned to Louisiana for UFC 318, headlined by a BMF title fight between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier in what was ‘The Diamond’s’ retirement fight.

After five close rounds, the unanimous decision was awarded to Holloway who in the process made UFC history by becoming the first fighter to successfully defend the BMF title.

‘Blessed’ Holloway was praised by his former rival Alexander Volkanovski who credited him from bouncing back from his UFC 308 KO loss to Ilia Topuria.

Sean O’Malley makes wild suggestions for Holloway’s next fight

Immediately after the fight, the former featherweight champion demanded a title rematch against Topuria, who now holds the lightweight strap.

Not long after, Topuria reacted to Holloway’s win, claiming that he is still the BMF champion after knocking Holloway out, despite the title having not been on the line.

UFC boss Dana White commented on the potential of a rematch between Holloway and Topuria, claiming that the Hawaiian is in a great position to fight for the title.

Despite that, one of the promotion’s biggest stars Sean O’Malley has pitched two different fights for the former champion, and both of which will be well received by the fans.

“Wow! I’m so glad neither of them got knocked out, I thought it was the perfect way to end it, I mean obviously for Dustin he wanted to get the win there but god, that was such a sick fight,” O’Malley reacted in a video on his YouTube channel.

“Max Holloway officially at 155lbs, I love Max at 155lbs, so who’s next for Holloway at 155lbs? There’s obviously Arman Tsarukyan. Imagine Max vs Charles (Oliveira) that would be a f—— sweet fight at 155lbs.

“Ooo, Paddy (Pimblett) vs Max Holloway at 155lbs, ooo,” O’Malley continued.

What is Max Holloway’s most likely next fight?

During the UFC 318 post-fight press conference Dana White admitted he is keen on both Holloway vs Topuria and Holloway vs Charles Oliveira.

Unfortunately for the fanbase, a fight between Holloway and Paddy Pimblett seems unlikely at this point, despite Pimblett’s impressive performance against Michael Chandler last time out.

Up to this point, White has been hesitant to confirm who ‘El Matador’ will fight next but following ‘Blessed’s’ performance this weekend, he could well find himself at the top of the list.
