Dana White’s press conference took a funny turn after UFC 318 on Saturday night.
The UFC CEO mainly spoke about BMF titleholder Max Holloway beating Dustin Poirier, who retired after losing in front of a hometown crowd in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dana White also shut down Jon Jones fighting at the White House after his MMA retirement U-turn.
The 55-year-old fielded media questions for 18 minutes, and only one of them truly caught him by surprise.

Dana White stumped by podcast question
As the press conference dwindled to a close, one reporter took the attention away from UFC 318.
He asked: “How big is the possibility that we see a podcast on Joe Rogan? You, Joe Rogan, and Conor McGregor?”
A straight-faced White paused for a moment before delivering a definitive two-word response.
“Probably never,” the UFC boss said to earn a chorus of laughs from those in the room.
White even chuckled himself as he reiterated the star-studded podcast would ‘probably never’ happen.
Dana White teases Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway 2
White dropped a hint about Holloway’s next fight after he issued a callout at UFC 318.
‘Blessed’ asked for a rematch with Ilia Topuria, who won their featherweight title fight by knockout in October 2024.
Since then, Topuria has KO’d Charles Oliveira to become the lightweight champion, and potentially set up a second meeting with Holloway, who has committed his future to the 155lb division.
One media member asked if Holloway has done enough to earn a rematch with Topuria.
“I think he’s in a great position right now,” White replied.
“He just defended that BMF title. He’s ranked number four in the world [at lightweight].
“Anything is possible for Max right now.”
