Former UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard hasn’t won in 11 years.
At his prime, the 60-fight veteran, nicknamed ‘Young Assassin’, was on a five-fight win streak in the premier promotion’s deepest division.
Guillard shared the cage with marquee names like Nate Diaz, Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, Justin Gaethje and two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, but unfortunately lost to all of them.
On Friday, the 42-year-old Guillard lost for the 11th consecutive time.

Melvin Guillard suffers back-to-back stoppage losses to Isaac Moreno at Fury FC 106
Fans begged Guillard to retire following his 10th-straight loss, a first-round submission to Josiah Harrell in May, but Guillard refused to hang up the gloves.
Instead, Guillard accepted another fight, this time on a day’s notice against undefeated welterweight prospect Isaac Moreno at Fury FC 106 in New Orleans.
The fight was one-way traffic for Moreno, who improved to 7-0 with a dominant TKO win over Guillard, finishing him with ground and pound strikes in round 2.
That bumps Guillard to 0-2 in 2025, extending his MMA losing skid to 11. More fans called for the former UFC fighter to retire after this loss at Fury FC.
As for his opponent, ‘Primetime’ Moreno looks like he has a bright future ahead of him at 27 years old. He now has 4 finishes under his belt and a notable name on his resume.
Tony Ferguson looks to snap similar losing skid next month
Competing in the UFC lightweight division at the same time as Guillard, Tony Ferguson was one of the greatest fighters to ever do it at 155 lbs.
The former UFC interim lightweight champion faced a murderer’s row of opponents, defeating top contenders and former champions alike on his epic 12-fight win streak.
Ferguson’s streak ended in 2020 when he was pitted against a heavy-handed Justin Gaethje. Ferguson hasn’t been able to win since the standing TKO defeat to Gaethje at UFC 249, having lost to the likes of Charles Oliveira, Nate Diaz, Michael Chandler, Paddy Pimblett, and more.
‘El Cucuy’ is currently on an 8-fight losing skid, the longest losing skid in UFC history.
Ferguson, 41, will attempt to snap the skid with a win in his pro boxing debut against social media influencer Salt Papi next month.
