Dustin Poirier looked better than ever on the scale ahead of his final MMA fight.
‘The Diamond’ will call time on his legendary career after one last dance in his home state of Louisiana.
He’ll square off against BMF titleholder Max Holloway at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday night.
On Friday, the long-time rivals made weight along with the 26 other fighters set to compete at UFC 318.
Dustin Poirier looks shredded ahead of UFC 318
Dustin Poirier was one of the first fighters to the scale when the two-hour weigh-in window opened.
The 36-year-old looked in fantastic shape as he posed for pictures after making the 156lb lightweight limit.
UFC commentator Paul Felder was particularly impressed by how Poirier looked ahead of his final fight.
“He looks shredded out of his mind right now,” the retired lightweight said on the UFC 318 weigh-in show. “That is by far the best he’s ever looked on the scale.”
Soon after, Poirier joined the conversation to speak about the ‘easiest’ weight cut of his 40-bout career.
“This has been one of the smoothest fight weeks of my life,” he remarked.
“This was the easiest weight cut. I could’ve been 152lb out here easily. I could’ve kept cutting weight.
“I was feeling good. I came into fight week the lightest I’ve ever showed up. It made this whole week a lot smoother, a lot easier.
“I probably could have [made featherweight].”
