The UFC 318 weigh-ins are just hours away with fans eagerly anticipating the results ahead of fight night.
For all of the positives surrounding the career of Kevin Holland, there have been some criticisms also with ‘Trailblazer’ being accused of not taking his career seriously.
He’s had some setbacks at middleweight but since returning to the division that seemingly suits him best, the 32-year-old has rebuilt his momentum with back-to-back wins in recent months.
Holland is set to face Daniel Rodriguez on July 19 having targeted big names like Colby Covington as he looks to break the promotion’s record for the most wins in a calendar year.
Despite being one of the most active UFC fighters of all time, things are rarely straightforward for his fight weeks and UFC 318 is seemingly no different.
Kevin Holland concerns fans with a joke post about the upcoming UFC 318 weigh-ins
Fans have made the case that Kevin Holland should stay at welterweight where he’s far more competitive in and around the top 15 for some time.
The benefit in fighting up a weight class for ‘Trailblazer’ is that without the need to cut weight, he can fight even more frequently even if he’s at a size disadvantage.
It’s clear that he does his best work at 170 pounds but it also means being stricter with himself in his training camps in order to ensure that he makes weight.
Holland is one of the biggest jokers on the roster so you can never take his comments too seriously, especially when it comes to social media.
That didn’t stop some fans from being concerned about the upcoming weigh-ins after Holland stated that his dieting may have gone out the window at the last stage.
‘Noooo Kev, don’t do this to me.’
‘Don’t tell me you missed weight.’
‘Kevin bro…’
‘Better be trolling, if not you’re a joke now lol.’
‘This guy’s not real.’
‘Kevin’s about to weigh in at heavyweight.’

Kevin Holland caused the same reaction amongst fans less than two months ago
Kevin Holland’s previous outing took place at UFC 316 on June 7 where he submitted Vicente Luque in the second round.
With fight night only a matter of hours away, ‘Trailblazer’ caused a lot of speculation on social media following a somewhat cryptic post.
His supporters were on edge, questioning whether his statement meant that the matchup was going to be pulled from the card, though this never came to anything.
Having previously been nicknamed ‘Big Mouth’ by Dana White, this kind of post certainly isn’t out of character from the welterweight star.
