Jon Jones has received a shock callout after announcing his UFC comeback.
In June, the former two-weight UFC champion confirmed his retirement from MMA, but it didn’t last long.
Jon Jones completed a U-turn after it was revealed that a UFC event will take place at the White House in July 2026.
Now, he’s been called out by one of MMA’s most divisive fighters, who wants to face the greatest of all time in an open-weight bout.

Colby Covington calls out Jon Jones
Former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington has put himself forward as a potential opponent for Jon Jones to face at the White House.
‘Chaos’ isn’t fazed by the fact that he weighs about 90lbs less than his old college roommate.
“Oh, 100 percent. I’d fight Jones in an open weight class, so 100 percent,” Covington told FOX News Channel’s The Will Cain Show.
“I got to fight there. The 250th celebration of America, what better way than to do it with the greatest promoters of all time, Donald Trump and Dana White, and Hunter Campbell?
“So it would be my great honor to fight at the White House on July 4, 2026.”
Jon Jones doesn’t like Colby Covington
It’s a fight Jones might entertain, simply because he doesn’t seem to like Covington.
In May, Jones named the most overrated fighter in the UFC during an interview with VicBlends.
“Overrated UFC fighter? That’s funny,” he said.
“I could say his name, but it’s really just because I don’t like him.
“Saying his name gives him clout, which I also don’t wanna do.
“His initials are ‘CC’, and he’s a total d——–.
“If you watch the sport, I think people will know who I’m talking about.”
