‘Drug them up’… Joe Rogan sounds off on Dana White’s Power Slap after offering wacky advice

Joe Rogan has offered Dana White some wacky advice to introduce into his Slap Fighting league, Power Slap.

UFC boss Dana White has remained adamant since starting his Slap Fighting league, Power Slap, that it could one day surpass the UFC in popularity.

But despite the sport somewhat growing in popularity among a younger fanbase and particularly the social media influencer world, it is still not supported by everyone.

In fact, UFC icon Joe Rogan actually tried to talk White out of creating Power Slap and instead told the UFC boss to invest in Kickboxing.

Joe Rogan offers wacky advice for Power Slap as he sounds off on bizarre ‘sport’

The UFC commentator has previously given his verdict on Power Slap, claiming that he can’t understand why athletes are signing up to take part in it.

However, he told White that he would attend a Power Slap event with the UFC boss continuously attempting to win him over.

Despite that, in a recent podcast with Gary Brecka, Rogan sounded off on Slap Fighting and offered some wacky advice for the sport.

“Slap to me, slap is not my thing, they’re just standing there and letting the other guy smack you in the face, it’s f—— crazy. I will watch it, I’ll watch it, but I really prefer actual fights,” Rogan said.

“Why do they put the powder on their hand? It’s hilarious. They have drug tests, which to me is hilarious, it’s like, drug those people up, why are they sober? You’re getting slapped you should be on meth.

“It’s the perfect sport for TikTok, I say sport with air quotes,” Rogan continued.

Rogan set to miss first U.S. PPV in over three years

The UFC returns to Louisiana for UFC 318 this coming Saturday as Dustin Poirier makes his final walk to the Octagon when he takes on Max Holloway for the BMF title.

However, one of the biggest stories ahead of fight week is that Rogan will not be on commentary duties and will miss his first U.S. based PPV event in over three years.

At this point, it is unclear why Rogan won’t commentate on the event but UFC legend Josh Thompson believes that maybe the commentator wants to enjoy Poirier’s retirement as a fan instead of having to work the booth.
