Jon Jones has put his promoter hat on as he has announced a history-making fight in Dirty Boxing Championships.
A few weeks ago, it was announced by UFC boss Dana White that then-UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones had officially retired from the sport.
Despite that, just a few weeks later after it was announced by Donald Trump that the UFC would be putting on an event at The White House, Jones announced he has already returned to the testing pool.
White went on to state that his dream main event for the event would be a title fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall, hoping to finally give the fans what they’ve been waiting for.

Jones announces history-making title fight in Dirty Boxing Championship
While ‘Bones’ continues to plot a potential comeback to the UFC, he has put his promoter hat on and announced that a history-making title fight will take place in his promotion Dirty Boxing Championship.
So far, the promotion has only officially held three events but it has been received extremely well by the MMA fanbase because of some of the names involved, including Yoel Romero.
Despite that, the 37-year-old has announced that former UFC heavyweight contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik will fight against Rob Perez in the first title fight in the promotion’s history.
“History is being made at Dirty Boxing – and I couldn’t be more proud. On August 29th, Dirty Boxing 3 takes over The Hangar in Miami, and we’re bringing you the first-ever Heavyweight Title fight in Dirty Boxing history,” Jones began his statement.
“The Wolf (3-0 DBX) – undefeated, aggressive, and relentless – steps in to face Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a showdown that promises nothing but pure violence.
“As one of the owners of Dirty Boxing, this is exactly the kind of fight I envisioned when I joined this league – raw, real, and unforgettable,” he continued.
Jones continues to plot his comeback to the UFC
Although his retirement was short-lived, Jones hasn’t competed in the UFC since last November and fans have become somewhat accustomed to the fact that he hasn’t been active.
Despite that, at this point it is extremely likely that ‘Bones’ will make his comeback on the White House event on July 4, 2026, and who he fights depends on who holds the heavyweight title at that point.
