Max Holloway’s BMF title is on the line against Dustin Poirier at UFC 318.
The UFC’s ‘Baddest Motherf—–‘ belt was created in 2019, with the inaugural title going to Jorge Masvidal after he defeated Nate Diaz via TKO (doctor’s stoppage) at UFC 244.
WWE superstar-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson wrapped the title around Masvidal and since then, we’ve seen the likes of Masvidal and retired UFC champion Mark Coleman present the belt to Justin Gaethje and current titleholder Max Holloway.
Holloway is set to defend the BMF title against a retiring Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 318.
Who will get the honor of wrapping the belt on the winner this Saturday?

Daniel Cormier suggests Lil Wayne, Max Holloway’s wife present BMF title at UFC 318
Poirier recently told Full Violence that he’ll be walking out with rapper Lil Wayne for his retirement fight and that’s who UFC commentator Daniel Cormier wants to see wrap the belt around him with a win.
“If Lil Wayne is walking him out, Lil Wayne should walk out there and put the belt on Dustin Poirier,” Cormier said on Good Guy / Bad Guy.
“I think Lil Wayne should do it…
When it comes to Holloway, Cormier chooses another non-fighter to hand off the BMF title.
“It’s kinda like personal because I watched the disappointment of the last fight,” Cormier referenced Holloway’s knockout loss to Ilia Topuria at UFC 309.
“I’d let his wife do it because they’re so close, and she means so much,” Cormier added.
“I would let Max’s wife do it because I saw how sad they were after the last fight.
“It’s not just Max fighting. It’s his entire team, his entire family. I would let his wife do it because of how much it means to the family, or I’d let his son do it. I’d let his wife or his son do it.
“It’s gotta be one of those two to strap the belt on that man because I know what it meant when I walked into that locker room after that Ilia loss, I know what it would mean to one of them to do it,” Cormier said.
Max Holloway is married to a pro surfer
Holloway wasn’t alone in his BMF title win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.
‘Blessed’ had his wife, pro surfer, Alessa Quizon, by his side.
After getting the belt wrapped around him by Mark Coleman, Holloway immediately gave the belt to Quizon in the Octagon.
“She looked like John Wick,” Holloway said of his wife following his KO win over Gaethje at the post-fight press conference.
“She inspired me—I was like, I gotta go out there and be an assassin…”
