Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano’s trilogy fight delivered as high as 6million viewers to break records as the most watched women’s sporting event of 2025.
The legendary women’s boxing duo had previously competed twice; first at Madison Square Garden in an historic headliner before acting as co-main event to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson last November. They returned to the scene of the first meeting for their third fight on Friday night.
Unfortunately, the fireworks from the first two contests weren’t reignited as Taylor scored a relatively uneventful win to go 3-0. The bout saw both women put to bed one of the greatest feuds of the modern era in male or female boxing.

The event was #1 on Netflix in the US, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and made the Top 10 in 43 countries. It also drew a live gate of $2.63million – more than double the first fight – with a crowd of 19,721 at Madison Square Garden.
Jake Paul reacts as Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 numbers made public
Jake Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian put on the second two fights as sole promoters, while they co-promoted the first with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing. And they expressed their pride at the numbers as they took to social media.
“Pay attention…” Paul wrote on X. “MVPs Taylor Serrano 3, an all women’s event, did bigger numbers in the US than the Stanley Cup finals. W.” Indeed, the tournament-winning Game 6 of the Stanley Cup drew 2.8 million viewers on TNT and truTV.
At the post-fight press conference, Bidarian said: “Even though many within the boxing landscape, including Eddie Hearn, have said, ‘Why would you do an all-women’s card? It doesn’t work.’ Guess what? It f—ing worked. Okay?
“You saw unbelievable talent out there fight after fight and we were honored to be working with these athletes. Sold out 19,721 people in attendance. A gate of $2.63million. The biggest gate of any boxing event headlined by two women.
“And this is an all women’s card. So let’s hear it for Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor, and all the other amazing athletes on this card.”
