Israel Adesanya reacts after Derrick Lewis used his infamous celebration following UFC Nashville win

Following his win at UFC Nashville, Derrick Lewis pulled out all of the emotes when celebrating in the Octagon.

This past Saturday, the premier promotion returned to Tennessee for UFC Nashville, headlined by a heavyweight clash between Derrick Lewis and Tallison Teixeira.

Lewis went on to extend his record for the most finishes in UFC history when he scored the finish over the Brazilian within the first 35 seconds of the fight, despite it being a controversial stoppage.

As he has done many times before, moments before landing the finishing sequence, Lewis faked an injury to lure Teixeira into pressuring him, which marked the beginning of the end.

Israel Adesanya reacts to Derrick Lewis using his celebration

Immediately after he scored his win, Lewis was presented with a phone call from the U.S. President Donald Trump, as he stood in the Octagon conversing with him on the phone.

And during his celebrations, ‘The Black Beast’ pulled out several emotes, including Israel Adesanya‘s infamous bow and arrow celebration when he knocked out Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

“Ha Ha! H-Town! Ha Ha, yo, this n—-, let’s f—— go,” Adesanya reacted in a video on his Instagram story.

“Pop arrows and get petty. Shoutout my twin!” he elaborated with a caption.

Along with deploying Adesanya’s celebration, Lewis also pretended to be a dog and went into Teixeira’s corner and pretended to wee to mark his territory.

Dana White reveals how close Derrick Lewis is to heavyweight title shot

Having won back-to-back fights again, Lewis will remain in the top 15 of the heavyweight rankings, which automatically puts him into the title conversation.

A few weeks ago it was finally announced that Jon Jones had retired from the sport, finally bringing his saga with Tom Aspinall to an end.

And with that, after picking up another finish, UFC boss Dana White has revealed that Lewis could just be one more win away from fighting for the undisputed title again, in what would be a crazy turn of events.
