‘Please stop talking’… Disgruntled Jake Paul instantly shuts down question about MVP’s history-making all-female card

July 11 was another big night for Jake Paul and Most Valuable Promotions, even if they didn’t come out on top in the main event.

Alongside Paul’s own pursuit of a world title in the ring, ‘The Problem Child’ has played a significant role in helping to elevate the women’s side of the sport.

The promotion’s latest event saw another all-female card make boxing history for having the most world championship belts contested on a single night.

Paul may have lost his bet with Mike Tyson after Katie Taylor defeated Amanda Serrano for a third time but that didn’t mean the event wasn’t a success.

However, the controversial star didn’t appear to be in high spirits during the post-fight press conference where one question in particular earned a critical response.

Jake Paul frustratingly shuts down question about the role of ring card girls on an all-female card

Streamed live on Netflix from the iconic Madison Square Garden, Taylor vs Serrano 3 was another landmark event for women’s boxing.

Amid all of the talk about how far this side of the sport has come in recent years, one reporter at the post-fight press conference had one issue to raise.

Ring card girls have been a long-running tradition in boxing but there was a point raised as to whether they’re necessary on an all-female card that is celebrating progression in the sport.

“I have one last question and it has to do with the projection of women in boxing and you guys have invested in women’s boxing,” One reporter asked Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian (MVP CEO). “I’ve talked to a couple of people during this week and the issue or the theme about the ring girls in all female fighting cards. A couple of people have said why don’t [you] have boys or none of them at all?”

Bidarian interjected halfway through the question to ask whether the reporter would prefer that they used ring card boys instead.

Paul, who looked immediately frustrated with the question while it was being asked, instantly shut down this conversation topic.

“Bro, please stop. Please stop talking.”

Bidarian also chose to move on with the press conference before making one last comment on the question.

“Next question please. If anyone wants to submit an application to be a ring boy at MVP, send it to that young man.”

Jake Paul contradicted comments about him being dejected after Amanda Serrano’s loss

The following question at the press conference made reference to Jake Paul coming across as relatively disappointed and frustrated.

When he was asked about Amanda Serrano’s approach to the fight, ‘The Problem Child’ responded by disputing the fact that he wasn’t in high spirits.

“No, I’m having a great night, I don’t know what you’re talking about. It could have gone either way to be honest. The fights have all been very close and I’m just proud of the women in general… It was just overall a win and I’m just super proud to be a part of this. All credit to them, I just continue to shine my spotlight on all these amazing women.”

Nakisa Bidarian seconded that even if the main event didn’t go their way following another close encounter with Katie Taylor, they were incredibly happy with how the event went.
