Joe Rogan has made some notable mistakes during his time as the UFC commentator, however this one got him into hot water with Brock Lesnar.
Despite having not competed in combat sports since 2016, Brock Lesnar is still one of the biggest stars around and has recently been called out to make his comeback by 58-year-old boxing legend.
During his time in the UFC, Lesnar was one of the biggest draws in the sport and took part in some huge events, including the milestone UFC 200 after he was paid $2.5 million to save the day after Conor McGregor‘s withdrawal.
Even when the star debuted in the promotion in 2008, he was already a huge name because of his time in the WWE previously.

Lesnar jokingly put his hands around Joe Rogan’s neck after embarrassing mistake
Although Lesnar was already one of the most well-known names in the sport at the time, UFC icon Joe Rogan got himself into hot water when he made an embarrassing mistake live on air.
After Lesnar signed with the promotion, during a UFC event, Rogan made his way into the crowd for a quick interview with the former WWE star and accidentally got his name wrong.
“I am here with one of the most exciting acquisitions ever for the UFC, Brock Larson, excuse me, Brock Lesnar,” Rogan said.
“Get it right! Yeah,” Lesnar replied as he jokingly put both hands around Rogan’s neck and pretended to choke him.
“Not Brock Larson, there’s another Brock that fights in the WEC, he’s a very talented gentleman but we’re talking about Brock Lesnar, former amateur wrestling star of course, former professional wrestling star, and now fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship,” Rogan attempted to recover.
“I’ve finally made it big time, baby! I’m on the big battle ship, the USS UFC, and I’m ready for war baby, I’m looking for a fight!” Lesnar replied.
This isn’t the first time Rogan has made a mistake when attempting to pronounce a fighter’s name, with the most infamous moment being when he mispronounced Umar Nurmagomedov‘s name following a fight.
Who is Brock Larson?
As Rogan said, Brock Larson fought in the WEC in 2007 after making his UFC debut after being signed following an impressive 15-0 run on the regional scene.
Larson even fought UFC legend Carlos Condit for the WEC welterweight title in 2007 but went on to lose the fight in the first round after being caught in an armbar.
