Jake Paul has continued to share his support for a former opponent in his time of need.
The combat sports world rallied around Ben Askren following the news of the former UFC fighter’s serious health scare which he’s still battling.
In a recent video posted on his Instagram, an emotional Askren spoke for the first time about what he’s been going through and how difficult it has been.
One of the fighters who has been consistently speaking about this has been Paul, who claimed he would make a donation to help financially support his former rival.
After using his platform to try and aid Askren and his family, ‘The Problem Child’ reacted to the latest update on his current situation.

Ben Askren’s video from his hospital bed was difficult to watch as the former UFC fighter spoke about everything that he’s been going through.
Along with revealing that he has no recollection of what has happened over the past month, Askren made light of the fact that he “died four times” during this period, stating that it’s “not ideal.”
After the former Bellator and ONE Championship titleholder thanked the people who have supported him and his family, his post was flooded by messages of encouragement and praise for what he has already accomplished.
The likes of Daniel Cormier and Joe Rogan responded after the UFC put together a tribute video package which aired during the UFC Atlanta event last month.
Jake Paul also gave his reaction to the post via X where he wrote a short statement to continue showing his support for his former opponent.
“Shout out to Ben Askren. Just proved that he’s one of the toughest fighters of all time.”

Ben Askren’s wife posted a positive update on his status over a week ago
Before Ben Askren was able to speak on the matter all by himself, his supporters were frequently receiving updates via his wife, Amy Askren.
The news that he required a double lung transplant which wouldn’t be covered by his insurance was a shock to a lot of fans, but his wife was happy to report that a donor paid for the vital procedure.
She wrote on Facebook that she couldn’t wait to tell her husband about all of the people who have helped them and shown their support during this incredibly difficult period.
Having ended her statement on June 30 by writing that hopefully Ben would be able to provide the next update, his recovery is moving in the right direction even if there is still a long road ahead.
