Dana White reveals his ‘dream main event’ for blockbuster UFC card at the White House

Dana White chose between Conor McGregor and Jon Jones when asked about the UFC White House headliner.

The UFC may have found a venue for around this time next year, as President Donald Trump has announced a special UFC event on The White House grounds.

That’s right, President Trump said a UFC fight will be apart of the USA’s 250th birthday celebration in 2026, and many fighters like superstar Conor McGregor have expressed their interest in fighting on it.

Even Jon Jones, who retired from MMA last month, is considering a comeback fight in D.C. after reentering the drug testing pool.

Still a year away from the event, UFC CEO Dana White promises to deliver an ‘exceptional’ pay-per-view card—bigger than last year’s UFC 300.

“We will absolutely, positively put on the baddest card of all time,” White said on The Full Send Podcast.

In the same interview, White confirmed Jones had jumped back into the drug testing pool, which he’d need to be eligible to fight again.

When asked for a potential headliner for the White House, White went with Jon Jones over Conor McGregor.

“The dream main event would be Aspinall vs. Jones,” White answered.

“Could be,” White said, if the White House card could feature both Jones and McGregor, the UFC’s biggest stars.

Jon Jones called UFC, started training again after President Trump’s announcement

Trump’s announcement of a UFC event on White House grounds made national headlines.

The same exact day, Jones, 37, says he reached out to the UFC about potentially coming back, just weeks after his official retirement.

“Donald made his announcement on the morning of the Fourth of July, I called the UFC headquarters that very same afternoon. I’ll just leave it at that. America! Now that tickles my pickle,” Jones wrote on X on Thursday.

“It would be [the most epic fight in history], for me it’s about the opportunity to represent America at the White House. I don’t care who I fight that night. I found my reason why, that’s what I needed, something that was more than money.

“Who knows what the future holds, but the moment I heard Donald Trump‘s announcement, I started training again,” Jones added.
