Dana White is planning to put on the greatest UFC show ever at the White House next year, and could call upon two of his biggest stars to make it happen.
The UFC boss was blindsided by President Donald Trump’s announcement last week that the promotion would bring a pay-per-view show to the famous White House lawn next year. The event will be a part of America’s 250th birthday celebration.
White claims that pretty much the entire UFC roster has pleaded to fight on the card, including very public campaigns from Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. The duo are the two biggest names that could compete, and both want to fight on the groundbreaking show in Washington, DC.

Dana White could put Jon Jones and Conor McGregor’s comebacks on the same night
In his first major interview since the announcement of the White House event, Dana White sat down with influencer group the Nelk Boys to discuss the entirety of the event. From logistics to potential fights, he got into everything with hosts Kyle Forgeard and Aaron ‘Steiny’ Steinberg.
One key question regarded the main event, to which White said that his dream headliner was a heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. When asked if it was possible McGregor could end up on that same bill he replied: “Could be, anything’s possible.”
“McGregor has gotten himself to a point where he is and will be, whether he stops fighting or not, one of the biggest superstars in sports, period.” White continued at a later point. “He’s gotten to a level of success in his life where he has to, I think, be motivated by something.
“He’s accomplished everything and especially financially. Now he’s got to find something that truly motivates him to want to come back and do this again. I don’t know if the White House is it, but we’ll see.”
When ‘Steiny’ noted that McGregor was at President Trump’s inauguration and as such likely viewed this as a major motivator, White replied: “I don’t know, we’ll see.”
Conor McGregor hints at return on White House card at BKFC press conference
Around the same time as the Full Send episode was going live, McGregor was in Hollywood, Florida to chair a massive BKFC press conference. Alongside all of the promotion’s champions he cut a number of promos and found himself in the middle of a foul-mouthed and angry stable of fighters.
During the event, he was asked about potentially fighting within BKFC, to which he reiterated the commonly known truth that he is shackled to a UFC contract. “I’m in this as owner until I can clear my slate.”
However, he also dropped a nugget about his prospective comeback, telling the press that “It’s looking like I’m heading to the oval office again so that’s where I’m heading next.”
