This year’s Noche UFC may have received a significant downgrade but it could still be in store for some huge fights.
The event was initially scheduled to be UFC 320 at Arena Guadalajara until issues with the venue led to the card, which will take place on the same day as Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford, going through some changes.
San Antonio, Texas will now host Noche UFC on September 13 where Diego Lopes will face Jean Silva in a featherweight main event.
Of course, you can expect some of the promotion’s top stars to feature on this card, and somehow, Brandon Moreno has not fought at a Noche UFC event yet.
Moreno campaigned for a title shot but with this looking unlikely, he received an offer from a former opponent instead.

Brandon Moreno accepts Brandon Royval’s callout to fight at Noche UFC in September
While he is coming off of two impressive wins over Amir Albazi and Steve Erceg, Brandon Moreno might need one more to earn himself another shot at the flyweight title.
His previous losses to current champion Alexandre Pantoja put the Mexican star in a difficult position, especially when there are other viable challengers around.
A three-fight win streak over some of the top names in the division would be one step closer to making him undeniable, and with Noche UFC approaching, Moreno should fight before the end of the year.
He was recently respectfully called out by his former opponent, Brandon Royval, who lost a fight of the year title eliminator to Joshua Van at UFC 317.
Royval posted on social media to register his interest in closing out their trilogy now that both men hold a win over each other.
Moreno, who was beaten by Royval in February of 2024 before he took some time off, appeared to see eye-to-eye with his former foe based on his response.
Brandon Moreno lost his flyweight belt two years ago today
On July 8 of 2023, Brandon Moreno looked to finally record a win over Alexandre Pantoja when they met in the co-main event of UFC 290.
A fantastic flyweight title fight ended with Pantoja getting his hand raised as he once again proved himself to be Moreno’s kryptonite.
‘The Assassin Baby’ returned the following February, but after a split decision loss to Brandon Royval, he decided it was time to step away for a little bit.
Since returning from his brief hiatus, Moreno has looked back to his best which makes a trilogy bout with Royval far more interesting.
