Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad used Artificial Intelligence to hit back at Ian Machado Garry.
Belal Muhammad’s welterweight title reign came to an end after one fight as Jack Della Maddalena defeated him by unanimous decision at UFC 315. Muhammad, who is no stranger to scratching and clawing towards title contention, returned to the ‘contender’ role in hopes of potentially earning another title shot.
Muhammad has remained vocal since UFC 315 in calling out some of the division’s top contenders. After Kamaru Usman‘s recent victory at UFC Atlanta, Muhammad told the former titleholder to ‘see him soon’ as he called to settle their months-long feud.
But another name entered the mix in recent weeks as Ian Machado Garry accused Muhammad of playing ‘political games’ in choosing his next opponent.

Garry recently took to social media to accuse Muhammad of ducking a fight booking with him after revealing he said ‘Yes’ to two alleged UFC offers. Garry allegedly accepted a matchup with surging contender Sean Brady, although it’s uncertain if that matchup will come to fruition.
In the meantime, Garry has Muhammad in his sights as the two welterweights vie for a title shot, and Muhammad didn’t need long to take notice of Garry’s desired fight.
In a recent Instagram post, Muhammad used ChatGPT to hit back at Garry’s remarks.
“lan Garry out here trying to do Conor cosplay with Dollar Tree trash talk. Bro, your lines hit softer than your jab. You sound like a teenager who just discovered McGregor highlight reels,” Muhammad began.
“You wanna ‘out-box’ me? Try out-talking me first without embarrassing yourself. Until then, go back to rehearsing in the mirror — maybe one day your trash talk will be as sharp as your barber’s fade.”
UFC fans had a field day in the comments.
“Dang bro I’m gonna need you to chill on dropping fire in my brother’s driveway like that,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“Belal is becoming funnier every day,” another said.
“10-7 ChatGPT.”
“I’m starting to like Belal decision Muhammad.”
“Belal’s got such good trash talk it doesn’t even appear human at times.”
As of this writing, Garry hasn’t responded to Muhammad’s creative taunts. Garry hasn’t fought since defeating Carlos Prates at UFC Kansas City earlier this year.

Belal Muhammad reverses course on Kamaru Usman callout as he vies for another title shot
Muhammad’s ongoing back-and-forths with Garry point to him potentially reversing course on a matchup with Usman. Usman and Muhammad got into an alleged altercation on the set of Usman’s Pound 4 Pound podcast in to-be-released footage.
After defeating Muhammad at UFC 315, Maddalena is expected to face former UFC lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev for his first title defense. Makhachev vacated the lightweight belt last month, which was won by Ilia Topuria at UFC 317.
As the UFC welterweight title picture continues to take shape, we could get an announcement on Muhammad’s next fight in the coming weeks.
