Brock Lesnar called out by 58-year-old legend eyeing comeback after losing 220lbs

Brock Lesnar is still receiving call-outs almost 10 years after walking away from combat sports.

The former UFC heavyweight champion hasn’t fought since beating Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in July 2016.

Brock Lesnar’s final MMA win was changed to a no-contest when he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Nine years later, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ has shown no interest in fighting again, but he continues to be called out by heavyweights from the boxing and MMA worlds.

Butterbean wants to fight Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was named on a five-man list of potential opponents for Eddie Hall following the former World’s Strongest Man’s MMA debut win over Mariusz Pudzianowski in April.

In the same month, Lesnar got called out by a boxing legend who promised to ‘knock him out’.

Butterbean trimmed down from 500lbs to 280lbs before announcing his comeback plan in 2025.

Jake Paul is at the top of his hit list, but a fight with Lesnar remains very much on his mind.

Mike Tyson is also an option for Butterbean – real name Eric Esch – if that fight doesn’t come off.

“I would’ve loved to have fought Tyson back in the day,” the Lucky Energy ambassador said during an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow. “I would still like to fight Tyson.

“I’d love to fight Brock Lesnar. That would be a good fight.

“I wanna fight that people want to see and would be a challenge for me also. Brock would be a challenge, just like Jake would be a challenge. Tyson is in there. I’m just out there for a good fight that makes sense.

“Somebody like Evander Holyfield, who is going to hit, run, and jab, wouldn’t be the fight for me.

“I wanna fight someone who wants to fight.”

Why is Butterbean making a comeback?

Butterbean hasn’t fought since retiring from all combat sports in June 2013.

The 77–10–4 heavyweight veteran was worryingly confined to a wheelchair when he ballooned up to 500lbs after calling it a career.

Now, after losing 220lbs, the 58-year-old wants to prove that you can bounce back from anything by fighting again.

Butterbean added: “I wanna do one more fight to prove to people that no matter how down you get, if you believe in yourself like I believe in myself, you can accomplish anything.

“I wanna do it this year. Most definitely this year.”
