Ige suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Lerone Murphy just months after his last-minute loss to Lopes.

He took on Murphy in Abu Dhabi, the fight rescheduled after an injury to Murphy forced it to be moved.

Over three rounds, Ige was beaten by his opponent and walked out without his coveted $50,000 bonus, after Murphy survived a huge knockdown to go the distance.

Ige had a controversial victory in his last fight over Sean Woodson at UFC 314

The two brawlers went to war in the octagon, where Ige was handed the TKO victory after laying in hammerfists on his downed opponent in the third round.

The referee awarded Ige the win, but Woodson criticised the controversial decision that cost him the fight.
