‘Fancy my chances’… Jake and Logan Paul challenged to double header by talk show host and former rival

Jake Paul was criticized ahead of his return to the ring following an interview that ended abruptly.

Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on Saturday night, winning a unanimous decision over the former WBC middleweight champion.

While Logan Paul was critical of Chavez Jr when giving his thoughts on the fight, as is often the case, there was negativity surrounding his brother also.

Ahead of fight night, Paul stormed out of an interview with Piers Morgan after the controversial talk show host criticized his fight with Mike Tyson.

Despite Paul stating that he and his team will ‘vigorously go after’ his critics, it doesn’t appear that Morgan is backing off anytime soon.

Piers Morgan suggests double header where he’d fight Jake Paul and Dillon Danis would rematch Logan Paul

On the latest episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the talk show host once again addressed the fallout from his interview with Jake Paul.

Morgan was joined during the episode by Dillon Danis, who has his own history with the two brothers having faced Logan Paul in a professional boxing bout in 2023.

Both men were critical of Paul’s fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, and his boxing career as a whole, as they dissected the credibility of some of his opponents.

Morgan went on to say that he could even be in line to face ‘The Problem Child’ based on the credentials that he brings to the table.

“I’ve been doing boxing training now for a few months, I have actually been in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. I’m in his right age wheelhouse. I’m 60 years old with zero professional boxing experience, so I’m pretty much his perfect target for his next fight.”

The talk show host went on to pitch a double header card, which would see him face Jake while Danis rematches Logan on the same night.

“I think we should suggest a double header. You have the re-match with Logan, which would be the real fight between two proper fighters, and I will take on Jake Paul, in a pay per view to end all pay per views! I fancy my chances, honestly I would.”

Danis responded that despite his lack of boxing experience, he doesn’t believe that Morgan fits the profile of opponents that Paul is looking for.

“I do too, but I don’t think you’re old enough for him.”

Jake Paul is targeting much bigger names for his next fight

On the same night that Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Gilberto Ramirez retained his WBA (Super) and WBO cruiserweight titles.

The controversial 28-year-old may be biting off more than he can chew in challenging a current world champion, it now looks like it could happen.

Via their latest update, the WBA has ranked Paul at #14 in the cruiserweight division, meaning that he would be eligible to face Ramirez later this year.

Given his star status and how much attention this fight would draw, it’s certainly not out of the realms of possibility that Paul’s next outing will be a world title fight.
