Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. says his son did not throw enough punches against Jake Paul

Despite the loss, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. says he’s happy with his son’s performance against Jake Paul.

However, he believes that had Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. been more active in the early portion of the fight, then he could’ve found a way to secure the victory.

In an interview with Fight Hype, the legend opened up through an interpreter, who explained: “He’s very happy about his son, he had a little bit of ring-rust, because he was out of the ring for over two years, but he’s very happy that his son is healthy.

“He gave a good fight, he just didn’t throw enough punches in the first round. He said he’s very happy with the outcome. He said his son should’ve done more in the beginning to win, but he’s very happy Julio came out healthy.”
