Dana White was feeling generous in the immediate aftermath of UFC 317.
The UFC CEO dished out his usual post-fight bonuses before rewarding one lucky loser.
Joshua Van beat Brandon Royval in a three-round Fight of the Year contender at UFC 317.
The flyweight duo were rewarded for their efforts with a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus before Dana White went one step further to show his appreciation.

Dana White gives Brandon Royval double pay
A flyweight title shot was up for grabs when Joshua Van fought Brandon Royval on Saturday night.
Both men fought like their lives depended on it, making for one of the best fights in recent memory.
Van and Royval landed an astonishing 419 significant strikes between them over 15 minutes to impress White.
MMA’s most powerful man was so happy with the fight that he decided to give Royval double pay.
“The beginning of the third round, they had already broke into the top 10 all-time for significant strikes,” White said during his UFC 317 post-fight press conference.
“I think they ended up at three all-time, crushed the record in their weight division, and broke another record too.
“Another thing, I’m gonna pay Royval his win money. You know, he took that fight with the number 12-ranked guy on short notice and put on an absolute war.
“Those two are going to do well tonight, and it’s absolutely, positively deserved.”
What’s next for Joshua Van?
Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja tapped out Kai Kara-France to defend his title in the third round of the UFC 317 co-headliner.
Immediately after, he shared a face-off with Van, who is next in line for a title shot at 125lbs.
It’s currently unclear when or where they’ll clash, but it seems certain their fight will happen in 2025.
