‘Annoying for the fans’… Logan Paul slams Julio Cesar Chavez Jr when reacting to brother Jake Paul’s latest win

Logan Paul was critical of his brother’s opponent following a 10-round bout on Saturday night.

Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr via a unanimous decision after weathering a late storm from the former world champion.

It was clear from the ring walks that the Anaheim crowd was firmly behind the Mexican fighter, with Paul sending a message to his ‘haters’ after the fight.

The majority of the fight wasn’t particularly enthralling, with Chavez Jr admitting that he left things too late to secure the victory.

That won’t trouble Paul too much as he targets a world champion in his next fight, while his brother celebrated the win when giving his thoughts on the bout.

Logan Paul criticizes Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for his performance against Jake Paul

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr may have been a world champion earlier in his career but the Mexican boxer has received plenty of criticism over the past few years of his career.

While he had his moments late on in the fight, the 39-year-old wasn’t active enough throughout the 10-round bout.

According to CompuBox, he averaged 15 punches thrown and 6 landed per round, compared to Jake Paul’s 48 punches thrown and 14 landed.

Logan Paul made reference to this when giving his thoughts on the fight in a backstage interview with DAZN.

While he was incredibly happy for his brother, whose performance he praised, Paul was also critical of Chavez Jr for not wanting to engage, which led to one-sided scorecards.

“I feel great. I think he did so well. It’s really hard to fight a guy who like doesn’t want to fight and it’s annoying for the fans as well. We were halfway through the fight and the dude had thrown like 20 punches so it’s hard but it is what it is. I thought he boxed great. He beat a former world champion boxer so I don’t know, he’s just happy with the win and excited to get the next guy.”

Jake Paul claims he’s ‘coming to take it all’ in response to Zurdo Ramirez

After the fight, Jake Paul shared a face-off with Zurdo Ramirez, who retained his WBA and WBO cruiserweight titles earlier in the night by beating Yuniel Dorticos.

With Paul targeting a world championship clash at cruiserweight, Ramirez pushed back against this by claiming that ‘The Problem Child’ won’t achieve this kind of success in his division.

Paul responded by stating that the Mexican champion isn’t the only titleholder in the division and that he’s targeting all of the belts, not just Ramirez’s.

“It’s not his division. It’s Badou Jack and the other kid, Jai Opetaia. It’s everyone’s division and I’m coming to take it all.”

In his post-fight press conference, Paul also spoke about the possibility of a huge fight with Anthony Joshua, stating that it’s looking like it could happen in 2026.
