Dana White and the UFC will fine champions who lose their belts, according to Tom Aspinall

Tom Aspinall recently appeared on an episode of The Diary of a CEO, where he revealed that UFC champions face a huge penalty from Dana White and the company if they lose their championship belts.

During the interview, host, Steven Bartlett, picked up a replica title as the Englishman’s real belt was at home.

The podcaster said: “I heard rumours online that the real thing actually costs about 300 grand, and you have to sign a contract that if you lose this belt, then you have to personally pay.”

Aspinall answered in the affirmative, explaining: “If it goes missing, I’m paying for it, so hopefully that won’t happen, but it’s in a very safe spot, so it won’t go missing.”
