During a press conference to promote his upcoming fight against Terence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez was asked about the prospect of trading leather with Ilia Topuria.
While the Guadalajara athlete didn’t entirely write off the possibility of a clash, he did insist that he must first focus on the task at hand.
The icon explained: “First of all, I have never seen him fight a full fight, but I really love him and respect him a lot, and I admire and thank him.
“I have a lot of gratitude for fighters that take a little bit of my fighting and respect it, it’s awesome to see other fighters like me.
