Weigh-in drama was rife on Friday ahead of big MMA shows in England and America.
A UFC 317 fighter was fired after coming in 10lbs overweight for his short-notice promotional debut.
7-0 Christopher Ewert didn’t even bother weighing in before his matchup with 6-0 Jackson McVey was called off, and he was cut by the UFC.
Across the pond, it all kicked off after Liam Gittins and Allesandro Giordano weighed in for their Cage Warriors 119 main event.

Paddy Pimblett teammate kicked during wild weigh-in melee
Paddy Pimblett has travelled to Las Vegas to be cageside for the UFC 317 headliner between his long-time rival, Ilia Topuria, and Charles Oliveira.
However, the rest of his team have remained in the UK to support Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Liam Gittins, who will put his title on the line in a rematch with Alessandro Giordano in Manchester on Saturday night.
Gittins was lucky they were there as he found himself the victim of an assault after weighing in.
A push during his face-off with Giordano prompted one of the Italian’s coaches to kick Pimblett’s pal.
It looked like all hell was about to break loose as people from both teams got involved in an ugly melee.
Thankfully, no more strikes were thrown, and an all-out brawl between the two groups was avoided.
Coach receives lifetime ban from Cage Warriors
Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan quickly issued a statement addressing the incident.
The man who also acts as Pimblett’s manager issued a lifetime ban to the coach who kicked Gittins.
“Fighters going at each other – up to a certain point – is part and parcel of the fight game,” Boylan said.
“But a coach or teammate stepping and assaulting an opponent will not be tolerated.
“As a result, I have removed Alessandro Giordano’s coach from Cage Warriors.
“He will never set foot inside the organisation as a corner man again.”
