Holly Holm will be watching Ronda Rousey’s new movie – if only to make sure that it’s fully true-to-life.
The legendary duo had a brutal showdown back in 2015 that is fast-approaching its ten year-anniversary. Holm won by way of a vicious knockout, instantly making her a worldwide star and relegating Rousey to a relic of UFC stars past.
There is now a renewed interest in the former UFC champion after news that there would be a Rousey biopic released on Netflix. Holm isn’t convinced she’s earned an invite to the premiere, or to have an actress cast to play her.

Holly Holm reflects on Ronda Rousey fight ahead of anniversary and film release
It’s hard to imagine now, but back in 2014 and 2015, Ronda Rousey seemed absolutely unstoppable as she quickly ascended to being one of the UFC’s top stars. At the time, there were even arguments as to whether she could be competitive in a male-vs-female gimmick fight with Floyd Mayweather.
However, that all stopped when Holly Holm arrived in Melbourne and knocked her out with a head kick that reverberated around the world. Rousey rarely addresses that night or even Holm by name, but it seems to be a one-sided feud as it rages on to this day.

“I’ve never had a problem,” Holm told media including Bloody Elbow in California last night at the open workout for her boxing comeback on Jake Paul’s next event. “It was a fight and it’s either you or them.
“If it were up to her she would have done that to me and that’s all there is to it. I have respect for everyone I’ve ever stepped in there with but I’ve never had a conversation with her outside of fighting and I hope she’s happy.
“I hope she’s happy with her family, if I were to sit down with her I’d have no issue. I don’t know if the feeling is mutual or not but I have no bad blood.”
Holly Holm had hilarious first reaction to Ronda Rousey movie
While Holm is one of the most important figures in Rousey’s life, it seems unlikely that she will play much of a part in the film, which will be directed by Augustine Frizzell. The filmmaker was behind the first episode of hit TV show Euphoria, and is being tasked with dramatizing a legendary combat story.
Indeed, the former champion rarely acknowledges her opponent or fully admits defeat without excuses. When asked by Bloody Elbow who she would like to play her in the film, Holm cheekily clapped back by asking: “Is she going to put me in it?”
She later admitted that she probably would be watching, if just to make sure that the portrayal is a fair and accurate one. “I’m sure I’ll watch it,” she admitted. “I’ll have to see what happens.
“If it’s a part of someone’s life you wonder how much of it will be in there. If not, it’s her movie, so… But if it’s false I’m definitely going to call you out!”
