Former world champion explains what Julio Cesar Chavez Jr needs to do to beat ‘four to six round boxer’ Jake Paul

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will be confident about beating Jake Paul in their upcoming fight, but a former world champion has warned what he needs to do to win.

Jake Paul will challenge Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a massive fight on June 28, in what could be the social media star’s toughest bout yet.

Paul is coming off the back of a victory over Mike Tyson, beating him via unanimous decision following eight rounds of boxing against the former world heavyweight champion.

However, Chavez Jr is two decades younger than Tyson, and another former world champion knows what the Mexican needs to do to stop Paul in his tracks.

Jose Luis Castillo explains how Julio Cesar Chavez Jr can beat Jake Paul

Former WBC Lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo is backing Chavez Jr to beat Paul, but gave him some advice on what to do to beat him.

In an interview with El Cinch, the two-time world champion called Paul a “four-to-six round boxer” and advised Chavez Jr to “use his savvy” to take down the social media star.

Castillo added that he thinks Chavez Jr’s 62-fight experience will be the difference between the two fighters on the night.

“Well, Jake Paul is basically a four- or six-round boxer. Julio has the experience; he hits hard. He’s been knocked down, but he can take it.

“What he has to do is box a little smart and use his savvy. The longer the fight goes, the more it favors Julio.

“Maybe Julio’s experience is what will help him pull through if he prepares well.

“A win for Chávez Jr. over Jake Paul would be like a gold bar falling in his lap. It would reopen doors for him in the boxing world.”

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has named the ‘four killers’ he wants to face after beating Jake Paul

Chavez Jr is very confident about beating Paul, as the 39-year-old has already named the fighters he wants to take on after he wins against the YouTuber.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Chavez Jr named four fighters that he’d love to face, calling them “killers” in the ring.

“I wanna fight a rematch with Jake Paul. A rematch with Jake Paul is a money fight, so that’s why I don’t wanna say no to this thing happening,” Chavez Jr. said

“For real, what I want is to fight the best. I’d love to fight ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez. I’d love to fight a cruiserweight champion. [Jai] Opetaia is a super, super strong guy.

“I’m here because I want to fight the best. If Opetaia offered me, if Ramirez offered me, after this fight or another fight, I’m there.

“I’m ready to fight Bivol at cruiserweight or the other guy, Beterbiev. That’s my goal. They are killers.”

However, Chavez Jr should not underestimate Jake Paul when the pair face off for the first time on June 28.
